Thoughtful, comprehensive, personalized menopause care - designed to give every woman answers, confidence, and a plan.
Serious care. Real answers.
COMPASSIONATE CARE
At The Menopause Clinic, menopause care should be thoughtful, comprehensive, and personalized. That's why every patient begins with The Menopause Clinic Comprehensive Assessment™ - our signature team-based approach designed to understand your symptoms, assess your long-term health, and develop a treatment plan.
By combining physician expertise with dedicated clinical support, you'll leave your first visit with answers, knowledge, and confidence in your path forward—whether you're navigating perimenopause, menopause, or another midlife health concern.
We welcome physician referrals for women requiring assessment and management of:
Perimenopause
Menopause
Menopause Hormone Therapy (MHT)
Female Sexual Dysfunction
Pelvic Pain
Contraception
PCOS
Other Women's Health Concerns
The following services do not require a physician referral:
Cervical Cancer Screening (Pap Test)
STI Testing & Screening
Please contact the clinic directly to book these services.
Every woman referred to The Menopause Clinic begins with our signature Comprehensive Assessment
This structured, team-based process is designed to ensure your physician consultation is informed, personalized, and focused on your individual needs. Rather than relying on a single physician appointment, our clinical team works together to understand your symptoms, assess your long-term health risks, and review previous investigations.
Your journey begins here
This allows us to prepare a personalized care plan before your consultation, providing more comprehensive, individualized care while ensuring your physician visit focuses on what matters most- listening to your concerns, confirming your diagnosis, and developing your treatment plan.
A tailored Team-Based Approach To Your Care
A one-time Comprehensive Assessment Fee of $200 applies to all new menopause referrals.
Your physician consultation and medically necessary follow-up appointments remain covered through Alberta Health. The Comprehensive Assessment Fee supports the clinical assessment, personalized education, care coordination, and preparation that fall outside Alberta Health coverage—allowing us to offer a more comprehensive level of care than a traditional physician appointment alone.
Detailed receipts are provided for your Comprehensive Assessment Fee, which you may submit to your extended health benefits provider for consideration of reimbursement. Coverage varies between plans.
“Ladies if you are 35+ get referred or pay to see Dr. Brooks, she is a wealth of knowledge, kind, compassionate, and thorough in her approach.”
— Kiersten P. Edmonton.
Once we receive your referral, our team will:
Confirm receipt of your referral.
Create your secure patient account.
Send your health questionnaires and consent forms.
Arrange payment of your Comprehensive Assessment Fee.
Schedule your appointment.
Take your first step
Completing your forms before your visit allows our team to begin understanding your health history, symptoms, and concerns before you arrive.
Before your physician appointment, a Menopause Society-certified nurse will complete your Comprehensive Clinical Assessment. This assessment includes:
Review of your medical and family history.
Discussion of your symptoms and personal health goals.
Completion and review of validated menopause questionnaires.
Review of medications and previous hormone therapy.
Assessment of cardiovascular, bone, and breast health risks.
Every assessment is reviewed by your physician before your consultation, ensuring your visit is personalized, efficient, and focused on your individual needs.
Review of previous investigations and preventive screening.
Identification of additional investigations where appropriate.
Preparation of your chart for physician review.
We believe that understanding menopause is an important part of taking charge of your health. As part of your comprehensive intake experience, you’ll receive access to our four-session Menopause Education Series, delivered virtually by our menopause-trained healthcare team. Designed to be practical, interactive, and evidence-based, these sessions help you:
Understand perimenopause, menopause, and the changes happening in your body.
Explore hormone therapy and other evidence-based treatment options.
Learn practical strategies for sleep, mood, nutrition, movement, and symptom management.
Prepare for informed conversations and shared decision-making with your healthcare provider.
Each session includes opportunities for general questions and discussion, helping you feel more informed and confident throughout your menopause journey.
Education is part of your care, not an optional membership requirement.
Your physician consultation is approximately 30 minutes, focused on your diagnosis, treatment options, and personalized care plan.
Review your assessment.
Discuss your symptoms and priorities.
Confirm your diagnosis.
Every treatment plan is individualized and developed through shared decision-making using the latest evidence-based recommendations.
Explain your treatment options.
Develop your personalized treatment plan.
During your consultation, your Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) physician will:
Following your physician consultation, you'll meet with one of our menopause-trained clinical practitioners for your dedicated education session - reviewing your personalized treatment plan, how and when to begin your medications, and giving you the support you need to move forward with confidence. Together we'll review:
Your personalized treatment plan.
How and when to begin your medications.
What improvements you can expect and when.
Common side effects and when to seek advice.
Bone, heart, and brain health.
Our goal is for every woman to leave her first visit feeling informed, supported, and confident about the next steps in her care.
